My dear husband. Oh the hours he has worked for our family. Hard, back breaking work. Yesterday he was feeling some results from that hard work. He broke his leg many, many years ago. And yesterday the ankle in that same leg had started hurting him a tremendous amount. He was awaken at 1 and just couldn’t sleep. He ended up getting up and doing the milking all the while in so much pain. Thankful our daughter did the afternoon milking, but oh my dear husband had to do this morning’s milking… I watched as he hobbled out of bed to begin his day… in such pain…and there is nothing that I can do…Prayers are appreciated as we try to figure out what is going on to cause all of this pain. He is only 50, and has worked so hard for his family.
I’ve been doing some online research this morning after he left for the barn to see if I can pinpoint what it might be. We are not ones to run to the Doctors as soon as there is a little pain. But, today I am wondering if this is one of those things we need to go to the Doctor for. I did find some interesting information, I guess when he gets home we will find out if there is swelling and go from there. But, I will be trying Lemongrass Essential Oil and Deep Blue Essential Oil (from Doterra). Hoping he will find some relief with the oils. Please continue to pray. I thank you.
There was swelling and so we go to the Dr. If it wasn’t Friday I am sure we would have waited, but we don’t want to wait and need to go to the ER. Way too expensive. And the diagnosis is GOUT! What? Really? Do any of you know some of the common reasons someone would get Gout? Eat lots of fish, drinking alcohol, over weight, whole grains, lots of protein and several other items. But, none of those things would pertain to my husband. All we can think of is he has backed off on his normal daily milk. Dairy is suppose to help to get rid of the uric acid in your body. So, we begin a new experience…GOUT… how to manage it and how to eat better to keep it at bay. Prayers are still appreciated. He still has hard work to continue and needs his feet for those activities. 😉
Have you ever had any experiences with Gout? Have you figured out any helpful foods, supplements, oils that help you? Any help would be appreciated.
