30+ CHRISTMAS ADVENT CALENDAR IDEAS
How many of you have ever made or purchased a Christmas Advent Calendar? Do you have any favorites?
Looking back over the years I have always had great intentions to do an Advent Calendar with the kids, but consequently, I have never made or purchased one. Maybe this year? I have put together a group of some favorite Advent Calendar ideas of mine and I hope they might inspire you create your own calendar and celebrate the Christmas season with your family.
This wreath is unique because you will be doing activities with your kids instead of just getting a little treat. Building memories big and small ones, while you count down. She gives all the directions and details as to how to make this Advent wreath. How fun!
Littlebins over at Little Bins for little Hands has a great Christmas Advent Calendar idea for the Lego lover. What are great and unique way to use your Legos and easy on your budget if you already have the Legos. You can put together your own little kits for your kids to put together each day as they count down to Christmas.
Tia from Events to Celebrate has a great idea for an Advent Calendar, A Christmas Acts of Kindness calendar. Each block is a random act of kindness for you and your kids to do while counting down. It’s almost like a little puzzle, that you make yourself. She purchased a poster, but I think you could even print out a Christmas picture at home and make it even more accessible for you, if on a tight budget.
Next up, Rachel, from Following in my shoes has a great activity that can be used to count down to the BIG day. This is a little more costly but if you have your own craft supplies why not make your own little kits for your kids to work on. She has some other really neat ideas to put into these little activity bags and they really wouldn’t cost too much.
Over at DIY Beauty Tutorials, she has an easy and inexpensive idea with toilet paper rolls, paper, and some ribbon. You can put your own little treats, gifts or activities in each one and make yourself an Advent Calendar.
Pink Suede Shoe has an adorable Christmas Advent Calendar made out of paper trees that could be used as a centerpiece. And again, very easy to make and inexpensive. Especially if you have some paper and cardstock laying around. Like I do. You’re not a crafter if you don’t have extra paper laying around. LOL
And last but not at all the least, Karine, over at Double the Batch has put together a HUGE list of other Advent Calendars that are quick and easy to make. There are calendars there to make easily from stuff you have at home, you can purchase already made ones, random acts of kindness calendars, and activity calendars.
