Do you own a dishwasher? Probably, I guess most people do these days. I remember a time that we had 5 young kids and no dishwasher. Boy, there was always dirty dishes in the sink. It seems just when I would get a sink full washed, someone would be hungry.
As a teenager, I used to go to the Roller skating rink every weekend. It was fun to reconnect outside of school with friends there and just hang out and skate. I loved skating! They had some beautiful white roller skates…they were so shiny…so new…but so expensive…well for a girl that doesn’t have a job or any money. My parents made a bargain with me. If I helped my Mom do the dishes every night they would buy them for me. So, in exchange for those shiny new skates, I helped my Mom every night (as far as I remember) wash the dishes. 😉
So, I have had to hand wash many dishes in my life. But, we do have a dish washer. And have had for many years, I am very thankful for it. Recently, our fairly new portable dishwasher decided to quit washing dishes correctly. They kept coming out dirty, greasy, just not clean at all. So, the DIYer in my decided to figure out what the problem could be. Thankfully this dishwasher has 2 filters in the bottom of it and they are very easy to take out and clean. Because of back issues, I haven’t cleaned it as much or often as I should have. So, after taking them out, holding everything in while cleaning it. YUCK!!!! Who knew that what is left over on our dishes could look and smell like that???? You are welcome for NOT posting pictures of that!!!
But, here is the final product. CLEAN DISHES!!! Yes!!! And it was so easy. So, if you have never cleaned the inside of your dishwasher. Try it. It isn’t hard, get your manual out or go online to the manufacturer’s website and find the manual there. In there it will tell you how to clean your dishwasher. It’s usually very easy, and no extra tools required. You will be so thankful that you took that little extra time to do this and it will help your dishwasher last longer. Good luck. If you have any questions let me know. I’m here to help.
